　　YU Xiuming Announced the Opening and ZHANG Jianwu AttendedtheEvent

　　On the night of September 26, the 2020Mingyueshan14^thMoon CulturalTourismFestivalthemed with Charm of China on theMid-AutumnDaywas opened in the Mingyueqianguqing Grand Theatre of Mingyueshan Spa Resort. Fascinating acts were performed in the brightly-lit theatre, creating afestiveatmosphere.

　　YU Xiuming, secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee, announced the opening of the festival. Municipal officials ZHANG Jianwu, YUAN Chuan, HUANG Degang, XU Zhengkun, XIA Hongse, CAI Peilan, LIU Yimin, GAN Benxin and CAI Jinsong, principal comrades from relevant national associations and organs directly under the Provincial Government, and some retired cadres from prefecture-level departments attended the opening ceremony and watched the show. 　　HU first extended his warm welcome and early holiday greetings to all participants on behalf of the Municipal Government. He pointed out that Yichun has heldtheMoon CulturalTourismFestivalforthe14^thtime since 2007. The deep-rooted moon culture has won Yichun the reputation of the Capital of the Moon. Centered on the theme of Best Autumn in Mingyueshan, this festival was designed with the first Mingyueshan National Photography Competition Work Exhibition, and the first Local Tea-picking Opera Talent Competition. Fascinating acts were performed. The poetic and dreamlike opening night interpreted the rich connotation of moon culture, and showcased the unique charm of the Capital of the Moon. Guests were invited to slow down, relax and feel the coziness of moon watching in Mingyueshan and enjoy the delight offamilyreunion.

　　The event was divided into four parts: Garment, Shadow of Osmanthus, Whirling and Symphony. It was kicked off by the group dance Garment.The“moonfairies”danced gracefully, allowing all spectators to enjoy the softness and beauty of the moon. The Erhu songs Taiji Qinxia and War Horses Galloping presented an impressive visual and audio feast. The ballet Whirling was combined with acrobatic performance of shoulder ballet, taking the breath of the spectators away with superb skills, skilful movement and tacit coordination. The romantic and passionate Symphony acts Carmen Overture and Rosy Clouds Chasing the Moon provided a pleasing musical journey. Desheng Good News was symphonic adaptation based on the musical element of Desheng Drum to deliver the news of good harvest. The event came to an end with the inspirational dance Heartfelt Luck to All. The well-themed and majestic show won thundering applause of theaudiences.

　　In addition to the opening ceremony show, activities like Laurel Greeting Guests, Moon Worshiping Ritual, and Lantern Show in the Lake drew the guests and tourists to stopandwatch.
