To cope with the possible COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in fall and winter and inspect thecity’s COVID-19 pandemic response ability and level, Yichun held a whole-process, total-factor drill in the city proper on September 18. Deputy Mayor LAN Yaqing attended the drill and made aspeech.
This drill was a simulation of the MunicipalPeople’sHospital’s Fever Outpatient Department receiving 1 student patient with symptoms of fever and coughing, the parents of whom deal with import of seafood products. Through serological test, lung CT, nucleic acid test and group consultation of municipal experts, the patient was diagnosed of COVID-19. Relevant departments worked together in case identification, transportation, diagnosis and treatment, and report; the emergency response was launched; thepatient’s activity trajectory was positioned; the close contacts were investigated, tracked and managed; the school where the student went to suspended classes and worked with the disease control department to investigate and manage the close contacts, monitor the health conditions of teachers and students, and conduct regular disinfection and terminal disinfection; the seafood products were sealed and tracked, and specimen were collected; the drugstores were required to manage the fever drugs; the epidemic point were sealed and disinfected, and the specimen of residents within the epidemic point were collected for nucleic acid test. The drill on the above 11 scenarios achieved the expectedresult.
LAN pointed out that this drill was another inspection ofYichun’s comprehensive emergency response ability to public health emergencies like COVID-19 epidemic. It trained the team, tested the emergency plan, and further enhanced the joint action and overall coordination ability of thecity’s relevant departments. Next we should further improve the emergency plan, identify the problems, optimize the work procedure, perform satisfactorily in the response to the fall & winter COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and safeguard the Healthy Yichuninitiative.
