As revealed at the press conference ofYichun7^thNationwide Population Census held on September 25, this census will start on November 1, 2020 at 0:00. About 25,000 census supervisors and census takers will be mobilized conduct door-to-door registration in about 1.6 million households with about 6millionpeople.

　　It’s understood that compared tothe6^thNationwide Population Census, this census has greatly changed in the content of census, mode of census registration and method of data collection. Main changes include the citizen identification number incorporated to the content of census, independent filling online available as a mode of census registration, registration by electronic device acquisition and direct connected data uploading in replacement of registration by paper form, photoelectric entry and reporting level by level. Meanwhile, the unique citizen identification number is utilized to compare and review the census data based on departmental administrative records andbigdata.

　　Regional mapping for this census has comprehensively realized electronization. All regions in the city have completed regional mapping on time in accordance with quality and quantity requirements. Thus far, the city has completed the division of 2,780 census areas and about 23,200 census communities, and plotted about 1.4121millionbuildings.
